1. Who we are

Houston Water Damage Guide (waterdamageguidehouston.com) is run by Rank First Labs Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus (company number HE 494678), Athinas 25, Agios Athanasios, 4105 Limassol, Cyprus. "We" and "us" mean Rank First Labs Ltd acting for Houston Water Damage Guide. By using this site you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. What this site is, and what it is not

Houston Water Damage Guide is a free referral directory for homeowners, property managers and landlords in the Houston area of Texas.

• We are not a restoration company. We do not inspect, quote, repair, install or supervise any work, and nobody on our team visits your property.
• Every listed company is independent. No listed company is our employee, agent or partner.
• We do not rate or review companies. We list real local businesses using facts from their own websites and public records, with a source for each fact. Each listing links to the company's own reviews on Google where they exist.
• A listing is not a recommendation. Being listed, or listed first, does not mean we vouch for a company's work.

There is no charge to homeowners for using this site or sending a request.

3. How a request works

• Your request goes to the one company named on the form when you press Send. You see its name before you send.
• That company decides whether and when to contact you. We cannot promise that it will reply, how fast, or that it will take the job.
• Any quote, price, schedule, contract, payment and promise about the work is between you and that company. We are not a party to it.
• For an emergency, or if anyone is in danger, call 911 first. If the company's phone number is shown, call it directly.
• Please give true details. Do not send requests for someone else without their permission, or fake or test requests.

4. Before you hire a company

Before work starts, please:

• check that the company is an active registered business, and that it holds a Texas mold license if the job includes mold remediation of 25 square feet or more (search the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation);
• ask for a written quote and read what it covers;
• ask what the company will stand behind after the job, in writing;
• read the company's own reviews.

Facts on listings come from public sources on the date we checked them and can change. If you find a mistake, email info@waterdamageguidehouston.com.

5. Sponsored listings

A listing marked "Sponsored" is a client of Rank First Labs, the company that runs this site, and gets a higher spot. The facts we show about it follow the same rules as every other listing. Today no listing on this site is sponsored.

6. Guides and cost ranges

Our guides explain common problems, what is safe to check yourself and when to call a professional. They are general information, not advice for your property. Cost ranges are rough figures from the sources named in the guide, on the date shown; they are not quotes. Stop and call a professional if a check involves electricity, standing water near outlets or appliances, sagging ceilings, sewage, mold over a large area, gas or anything you are not sure about.

7. For listed companies

• We list companies using public facts, each with a source. We never write reviews or ratings about a company.
• To add, correct or remove a listing, email info@waterdamageguidehouston.com with the business name and website. We act within 5 business days.
• We contact companies by email or phone only, never by text message.
• A company receiving a request may use it only to answer that homeowner, and must follow the law and the homeowner's consent choices, including text message consent.
• We may stop sending requests to, or remove, a company that homeowners report for poor treatment, or that no longer meets our listing rules.

8. Acceptable use

Do not copy listings or guides in bulk, scrape the site, send false or automated requests, try to break the site's security, or use the site for anything unlawful. We may block anyone who does.

9. Our content

The guides, design and text on this site belong to Rank First Labs Ltd. Company names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify them. You may share a link to any page.

10. Links to other sites

We link to company websites, Google reviews, state registries and other sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.

11. Limits on our responsibility

The site and its guides are provided as they are. We work to keep facts accurate and the site running, but we do not promise that it is free of errors or always available.

To the extent the law allows:

• we are not responsible for the work, quotes, conduct, property damage or injury caused by any listed company, or for whether a company contacts you;
• we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses;
• our total liability to you for anything arising from this site is limited to US$100.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the state where you live.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Cyprus. Before starting any claim, please email info@waterdamageguidehouston.com so we can try to settle it informally for 30 days. If you live in the United States, you may also bring a claim in the courts of your home state where its law gives you that right.

13. Changes

We may change these terms by posting a new version on this page with its date. The version on the page when you send a request applies to that request.

14. General

If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms are written in English, and the English version applies.
